About Us

Mas Bes is a story of family, hard work, and a love for farming. A love for the rural world that we have passed down from generation to generation. Expanding and renovating new spaces to bring farming closer to everyone.

Dairy Tradition

The history of the ViƱolas family at Mas Bes dates back to the second half of the 19th century, when grandfather Narcƭs settled on the farm and began cattle farming with two Friesian-Holstein cows.

Our Values

Mas Bes is founded on the effort and dedication of the ViƱolas family. On 150 years of dairy tradition and love for the rural world.

Visit us and enjoy farm life at Mas Bes: we will show you how the farm operates, how the livestock live, how we artisanally produce Mas Bes products, and we will cook you meals that will make your mouth water.

Come to our farmhouse and you’ll feel like one of the ViƱolas family. Like one of our farming family.

Mas Bes Social Responsibility

Energy Sustainability

At Mas Bes farm, we are committed to alternative energy sources to reduce environmental pollution. We use sunlight and cow manure for the production of 100% renewable, sustainable energy for self-consumption. We have also recently purchased an electric car that we can charge at our own electric charging point, which our visitors can also use.

Biogas Plant

Thanks to cow manure, we can use methane gas for electricity production. In this way, we produce a total of 250 Kw/h, which would be equivalent to the energy consumption of 100 single-family homes, and the compost coming out of the biogas plant is ideal for fields, orchards, and gardens.

Solar Panels

We have also installed 300 solar panels, taking advantage of the stable roof that receives sunlight for more hours. With these, we produce 100 Kw/h, used entirely for self-consumption.

Animal Welfare

We want to be respectful of animals and ensure they have the utmost comfort and care possible. That is why all the farms that produce for ATO Natura were pioneers in obtaining the animal welfare certificate ā€œWalfare Quality Aenorā€.

We have adapted all facilities to achieve this certification: well-fed, fully hydrated, comfortable, adequate temperature, sufficient space, no physical injuries, absence of diseases, healthy treatment, healthy social behavior, natural behavior, respectful handling, and no fear, anxiety, or frustration. Although the previous certification does not require it, we also have fans, automated showers, brushes, and ambient music for the production cows.
