Technical visits

We organise visits for professional veterinarians, farmers or engineers, to show them how the Mas Bes stabling functions.

The visits can be done in various languages: Catalan, Spanish, French and English.

Veterinarians

We organise visits for professional veterinarians, in which they can discover at first hand how the animals of our stabling live and the treatments they follow.

Farmers

Being farmers, we prepare visits so that other farmers can learn how the stabling functions and the processes we carry out on the farm. We tell the story of how Mas Bes went from having 4 Holstein-Frisian cows to almost 1,200.

Engineers

We offer specialised visits to engineers to show them the Mas Bes facilities. Such as the equipment in the milking hall or the biogas plant, which functions using slurry from our cows and provides 250kW/h of electricity.

The children can give the calves fresh grass and then learn about the people needed to weigh a cow on our scales.

Suckling calves

We visit the calf area, where they are still suckling and live together in sheds in groups of 5.

Feeding area - Raw materials store

Biogas and composting plant

All the organic matter that is produced by the biogas process goes to a solids separator and we use it to make ideal compost for gardening and growing vegetables.

Every half year we fatten 4 Duroc breed pigs that are used to complement the visits to the farm. And when the time comes, we make delicious hams and Catalan sausages.

Pre-fresh cows

These are the cows that will be giving birth in less than 2 months. They have special food, background music and are brushed, all to improve their wellbeing.

Production cows

We have these in 5 different courtyards. They are the cows we milk 3 times every day. They are also brushed, have music and automatic cleaning systems.
